The Opening of First Louis Vuitton’s Global Store in São Paulo this Thursday

This week in São Paulo is all about the opening of the first global store of Louis Vuitton in Latin America. For those who don’t know what that means, a global store is a store that includes ALL the lines of a brand; in Louis Vuitton’s case, ready-to-wear, accessories, books, watches, and even a select mix of jewelry.

A delegation of French executives will be landing in São Paulo tomorrow: Yves Carcelle, the current CEO, will introduceJordi Constans, who will assume his post in late 2012. Yves was in Brazil two years ago, when it was decided the first major label’s store would be open at Shopping Cidade Jardim. The new space will have the Haute Maroquinerieservice, dedicated to customizing bags.

Juliana Paes will be the special guest of the night, and the music is up to DJ Isaac Ferry – Brian Ferry’s son! On the guest list, are also French actress Elisa Sednaoui, German princess Elizabeth von Thurn und Taxis, fashion editorDerek Blasberg, and Alex Dellal.

The Giant of Boston d’Os Gemeos

The art moving along with the shapes of the building, the eyes spread out, the yellow color skin...no doubt, it is definitely a piece from the Twins.

The Giant of Boston is part of Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo's first exhibition in America. The artists, who are the main names on brazilian graffiti, affirmed their global relevance when they painted the walls of the Tate Modern in London, in 2008.   

There are 13 pieces distributed in Boston only, among paintings - on ICA (The Institute of Contemporary Art) - and instalations - on the Big Dig building and on the Hotel Revere by Boston Common.

Our designer Sinesia Karol was invited to mediate the exhibition of the renowned artists, but due to an important business trip could not make it. That does not mean that we do not support and endorse completely the talent of the Pandolfo Brothers, on the contrary. It is a pleasure and an honor to be able to spread out the work and talent of brazilian artists along the World.

Impressionismo - Paris e a Modernidade no CCBB Rio de Janeiro

Começa hoje no Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brasil a exposição com obras até então inéditas no Brasil (A exposição já passou por São Paulo) que reune  os 85 trabalhos entre os autores Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Cézanne e outros.
Como já haviamos divulgado aqui no Blog da nossa querida Sinesia Karol , uma mulher que adora, e o Universe of arts and everything that involves the beautiful , o Museu d’Orsay é um dos lugares preferidos da estilista em suas viagens a Paris. (no Post sobre a Cineasta Sofia Coppola ela indica o museu como um dos seus lugares preferidos na capital francesa).

espectivamente presidente e curadora do Musée d'Orsay (officiel), em Paris, de onde vêm aos 85 obras que serão exibidas – e Pablo Jiménez Burillo – diretor geral do Instituto de Cultura da Fundación Mapfre –, realizarão às 19h uma palestra sobre a mostra e o mundo da arte como um todo. A entrada é gratuita, com distribuição de senhas.

Diante de painel com foto do Museu d'Orsay, o presidente Guy Cogeval, e a curadora do museu, Caroline    Mathieu, no Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil, na abertura da exposição sobre impressionismo.
